Here´s To New Beginnings!

The project has been on a downward trajectory for almost 6 months in Barbados, as the island´s focus was on much anticipated elections being held. A new government has been voted into power with a dynamic team and we´re expecting progress after the familiarisation process for the new Ministers. All of Bf´s background work has been completed – Feasibility Studies, Ministry Relevant Project Presentations, Stakeholder Consultations, Fishers´ CPUE programme, with on- going programmes – Public Awareness via the Facebook Page   https://www.facebook.com/BarbadosMMA/. We have already started the process of engaging the new Ministers for a new round of presentations and of promising note is the instalment of a Minister responsible for the Blue Economy in the new government. Preliminary steps are also being taken to establish the local NGO that will co-manage the MMA if the proposal is accepted by the new government.
